Abstract

The paper questions the development of activity of professors in higher education. An analysis of what is said during interviews with professors' shows that activities are mainly hidden, like the submerged part of an iceberg. Management activities tend to put into question teaching and research. This leads to tensions that we linked to a conflict between personal values and identity, which could express a need for recognition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
