Abstract
- The article explains the use of nondeliberative practice for social group work for groups of older adults with mental health disorder and substance abuse. Topics include the work on nondeliberative theory by Norma Lang, professor emerita of the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto, the theory's application on clients of Community Outreach Programs in Addictions (COPA), and the challenges to the concepts of group work which are mostly discussion-based problem solving.
