Abstract

Our work explores the characteristics of the original project Complejo Punta Mogotes in Mar del Plata, inscribed in systems architecture, a design that was very important, in our country, in the sixties and seventies. The project was characterized by introducing systemic strategy at all scales. First term in the territorial and urban spas, structuring the system from the new highway waterfront. At the architectural level, using a linear array of units conceptualized as spa-type spaces and connected by a promenade street. Systemic strategy will be present also in the technological resolution from a structural framework and constructive and industrial components. In the sixties the system architecture was frequently associated utopian attitude and, saying from Marina Waisman, an unconformist professional development, for which project was a critical act. In Punta Mogotes a series of productive and political conditions broke up the original proposal, losing their best organizational and landscape attributes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
