Abstract: The article offers news briefs related to the cement industry in the U.S. as of April 1, 2016. Topics include the construction of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, the increase in portland and blended cement shipments in the country and Puerto Rico in December 2015 and the development of an emissions stack at the Cushenbury facility of Mitsubishi Cement Corp. in Lucerne Valley, California to meet the monitoring requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency.
