Abstract

In the article, the authors discuss the possible unintended effects of electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) use in drinking venues, particularly their long-term health consequences. Also cited are the growing number of young people experimenting on e-cigarettes in the U.S. as of May 2016, the recommendation by the World Health Organization to ban the use of e-cigarettes in public places, and the number of U.S. states that ban tobacco smoking in restaurants and bars.
