Abstract

The article presents a case study of 33-year-old whose Platelet concentrates (PCs) was collected using PLT apheresis system and inspected visually. Topics include observation of chain aggregates in microscopic field, appearance of platelet (PLT) clumps on third day, presence of transmembrane glycoprotein CD62P as a measure of activated PLTs, absence of abnormal blood test in the donor, relationship between red blood cells (RBC) morphology and PLT clumps and elimination of acanthocytes.
