Abstract

The article discusses a study on a rearing system for Cacopsylla pruni which is identified as the vector of Candidatus Phytoplasma prunorum, the causal agent of European stone fruit yellows (ESFY) disease. The study performed single-plant overwintering tests in 1-1 glass vessels covered by an anti-aphid nylon mesh. Results revealed the use of conifers by univoltine psyllid species as shelter plants for overwintering.
