Abstract

The article presents research on the association of the frequent sensor use in the sensor-augmented pump (SAP) group with lower HbA1c levels and preservation of C-peptide production at 1 year. It reveals that all three C-peptide measures were higher at 12 months in the group above versus below median SAP use. It concludes the factors that were likely related to the .50% reduction in C-peptide production during the second year after diagnosis.
