ChemInform Abstract: Coordination-Driven Self-Assembly of a 2D Graphite-Like Framework Constructed from High-Nuclear Ce10 Cluster Encapsulated Polyoxotungstates.

(Me4N)14H2 [CeIII(H2O)6]{ [CeIV7CeIII3O6 (OH)6(CO3)(H2O)11] [(P2W16O59)] 3}·41H2O is obtained by coordination-driven self-assembly in aqueous solutions containing CeCl3, isonicotinic acid, Na12[P2W15O56], and trace amounts of Na2CO3 at pH 4.5 (pH adjusted with NaOH, 60 °C, 1 h) followed by addition of Me4NCl (slow evaporation, ≈7 d; 48% yield).
