The author discusses the importance of academically exploring the topic of marriage and family and how it is worthy of theological reflection. Topics covered include the integral relation of human relationships to the gospel and how it is deeply affected by it, the importance of marital and familial ties, and the relationship between God's plan for man and woman as encapsulated in the creation mandate and the Great Commission.
