Abstract

The article focuses on the theological, contextual, and institutional challenges of ecumenism in Africa. Topics discussed include the theological challenges such as church unity, mission and justice, several contextual challenges such as poverty, political instability and dictatorship, and religious and ethnic violence, and the institutional challenges such as ecclesiocentric movement, the focus on open dialogue, and the institutional changes.
