ASSE Continues Work to Frame the OSH Profession.

The article offers information on the seven core competencies or knowledge domains identified by American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) during the OSH Competency Summit held in April 2015 that define occupational safety and health (OSH) discipline. Among the core competencies are evidence-based practices, communication, and risk management and control. Other competencies include business, leadership, information and technology, and professionalism.
