Abstract
- There is a trend of ever expanding cases of trade liberalisation worldwide. The main question for academics is "why is there such a world-wide support for trade liberalisation?". This paper will take on this research question. Current literature seem tofocus on the differentiation of internal and external reasons. However, it will be argued in this paper that these factors may not work in the same way for every country. Instead, it will be suggested that there might be a significant difference between developed and developing countries. Hence, the paper will aim at contributing the academic discussion by providing a theoretical analysis of how these reasons differ for the developed and the developing. Hence, offering an alternative perspective for future discussion. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
