Abstract: The author presents insights on rheology as a scientific discipline. He notes that complicated deformations are formed under mechanical stresses due to internal structural of real materials. He states that rheology covers various topics in the development and processing of polymers, ceramics, adhesives, mortars and concretes, among others.
