Preservice Programs Seek To Head Off Teacher Biases.

The article explores new strategies to help preservice teachers in the U.S. become more culturally sensitive. It describes Black male teachers' experiences, including Darius Miller and Chissell Rhone, in a teaching profession that is still mostly white and female. Also highlighted is the clinical simulation designed by Elizabeth Self, a doctoral student at Vanderbilt University, to help preservice teachers develop cultural sensitivity.
