Abstract

In the Linear Models, QR Decomposition could be used to calculate the sum of squares. But, it has limitation that the number of rows, which is also the number of observations or responses, has to be greater than the total number of parameters used in the model. Partitioned design matrix method may be used to calculate the sum of squares of the models whenever the total number of parameters is greater than the number of observations. Such partitioned is discussed in a Split-Plot Experimental Design. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
