Abstract

The article discusses how Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) is better than the abduction convention concerning international adduction of children. Topics discussed include laws regarding international movement of children; 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction; and enactment of the UCCJEA in the U.S. as measures for the protection of children.
