Abstract
- The article reports the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case 'Alice Corp. Pty. Ltd. v. CLS Bank International' addressing the patent eligibility of software the court held that adding the words "apply it with a computer" to a patent-ineligible abstract idea is not enough to confer patent eligibility. Topics discussed include ways in which software interacts with the patent system and the interpretation of the Alice decision by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
