Abstract

The article talks about Indian Defense strategies against terrorism focusing on an attacks made on Indian security forces in Manipur and the unrest around shoot-to-kill powers as per the Indian Armed Forces Special Powers Act. Topics include coordination and cooperation among authorities in India and Myanmar, military policies by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and operations by the Indian Army. Also discussed is Indian's soft power and foreign policies, role of social media in politics, and use of hard power in Indian foreign policy. The article talks about 2001-02 Operation Parakram, a military operation against Pakistan.
