Optimizing Radar Matched Filters.

The article discusses the matched filter system that can be improved with the modern systems by matching the matched filter. The concept is to precisely measure a particular dispersive surface acoustic wave (SAW) compressor using a high resolution VNA and generate an expanded pulse that is matched to that particular SAW device, rather than manufacturing custom compensation networks for each SAW compressor.
