Abstract
- The article examines the similarities between the philosophies of Greek philosopher Parmenides and Indian philosopher Adi Sankara. Topics covered include their similar goal of leading the audience to nondual reality, the role and meaning of discrimination, nondual experience and test of alleged characteristics of reality in the philosophies of Parmenides and Sankara and evidence that both philosophers express the need for human beings to make sense of reality by means of concepts.
