Abstract
- The reaction of tin(II) and tin(IV) mono- o -amidophenolate complexes based on redox-active 4,6-di- tert -butyl-N-(2,6-di- iso -propylphenyl)-o-aminophenol ( dipp APH 2 ) with allylhalides is reported. This process includes oxidative addition of all-Hal (where all = allyl, Hal = Cl, Br, I) molecule to the non-transition metal complex and results in the alkyl transfer to carbon ring with the formation of new C C coupled product. The interaction proceeds at room temperature and gives new tin(IV) derivatives containing iminocyclohexa-1,4-dienolate ligand. The “oxidative addition” type products have been characterized by X-ray crystallography. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
