Abstract

The article reports that chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) has been involve as cause of amphibian declines in Honduras frog. It states that to prevent the spread of chytrid, plastic bag and surgical gloves were used and DNA was extracted and was preserved in Eppendorf microcentrifuge tubes containing ethanol. It mentions that none of the specimens showed any clinical signs of infection but chytridiomycosis should be added as potential threat, as its presence is confirmed.
