Abstract: Intramolecular cyclization of [2-(2-chloroquinolin-3-yl)ethyl]amines, formed in situ from the reaction of N -phthaloyl-protected [2-(2-chloroquinolin-3-yl)ethyl]amines and hydrazine hydrate gave pyrrolo[2,3- b ]dihydroquinolines in high yields. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
