The article discusses the need of implementation of a new statutory birth-related tort of negligence in the U.S. Topics discussed include laws dedicated to wrongful birth, negligently performed genetic testing or monitoring of the fetus; the U.S. Court case 'Johnson v. University Hospitals of Cleveland' related to causes of action based on negligence.
