Abstract

Examines the role of receptor phosphorylation in mu-opioid receptor (MOR) internalization and desensitization by truncating the MOR after Ser[sup 363] to remove the putative phosphorylation sites in the carboxyl tail. Expression of the truncated mutant in murine neuroblastoma Neuro2A cells; Examination of the ability of sigma-opioid receptor agonist, etorphine, to induce receptor desensitization and internalization.
