- The article discusses the views of various Internet users regarding 2016 U.S. presidential candidates Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton who stated that parts of the Internet should be shut down in order to stop terrorist groups from inspiring and recruiting followers, and it mentions the U.S. constitutional and technical limits of the candidates' Internet proposals. The Facebook and Twitter social media networks are examined, along with the Islamic State terrorist organization.
