Metal-Free Direct Oxidation of Aldehydes to Esters Using TCCA.

The reaction tolerates a broad range of substituted aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes as well as benzylic, heterobenzylic, and aliphatic alcohols which may be endowed with various functional groups.
