Abstract

This article aims to foster discussions on the use of smartphones in classrooms. It develops a discussion of public policies about the inclusion of Digital Technologies in Brazilian schools, in which we pose questions about the viability of computer labs from projects as Educom, Proinfo, Proninfe and Acessa Escola. The project One Computer per Student is also discussed, as well as the rates of use of mobile phones and the Internet by Brazilians, especially regarding students from public and private schools. From these issues, we sketch a project One Cellphone per Student, as a way to incorporate smartphones with internet to our classrooms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
