Abstract

The article discusses the genome editing techniques. It states that the significance of the CRISPR gene editing technique in terms of biomedical research, and mentions that the debate over the creation of genetically engineered humans and the germ line gene editing. It notes the mechanism of the CRISPR technique, which comprises the targeting of DNA sequences of interest with the help of Cas9 protein, and cites possibilities of using the method in medicine.
