Abstract

ABSTRACT This work presents the design and fabrication of a wideband dual polarized patch antenna to be used in an array for applications such as satellite communication. Our proposed patch is made of 591 Green Tape made by Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic and Rogers RT5870, and is designed to work in the frequency range of 10.7-12.7 GHz. Our result shows that the one layer patch antenna increases the bandwidth up to 17% in simulation and 12.3% in experiment related to the center operation frequency band. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
