Abstract

The article describes a case of primary RET-mutated lung neuroendocrine carcinoma in a patient with multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN). A chest X-ray and a subsequent computed tomography (CT) scan revealed a neuroendocrine neoplasm of the lung in the patient. Cytotoxic chemotherapy with carboplatin and etoposide was initiated, followed by cabozantinib, which led to an improvement in the patient's performance status and symptoms of cough and skeletal pain.
