Aplicación del sistema de modelado costero a un tramo crítico de la playa de Varadero: propuesta de solución.

It is well known that artificial regeneration such as sand dumping represents one of the ways for sedimentary enrichment and temporal stability of beaches, conducive to environmental protection and sustainable development. Because in Varadero there have been always problems with erosion in certain parts of its northern coast, it was decided in this work to make a detailed study of these areas in order to pose a possible solution. A number of objectives have been stated to get an answer to the issues raised. The main objective is the implementation of the "Coastal Modeling System" (SMC) for the study of an alternative and in turn solving the erosion problem. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
