Abstract
- Focuses on a training program offered by Bond Solon, a company in London, England that trains expert witnesses, for doctors and nurses to take better notes in order to improve patient care and help reduce medical negligence claims. Reason for the eagerness of British hospitals to improve staffers' record-keeping skills; Total amount of bill reached by the National Health Service for such claims in 2002; Problem posed by a lack of consistency in the use of medical acronyms, according to Mark Solon, a solicitor and creative director at Bond Solon.
