Identifies volicitin-related compounds and the composition of the compounds in the oral secretion from four different species of caterpillars fed on natural diets. Lack of significant differences in the amounts of N-acylamino acid conjugates in the secretions from the three noctuid species; Proportion of the volicitin-related compounds in the regurgitant.
