Abstract
- Despite the growing availability of technology, the majority of the training conducted in hotels still uses the traditional classroom-based and instructor-led method. How long it will take the hotel industry to completely embrace computer-based training is unknown. In the Hong Kong hotel industry, computer-based training has not been fully and appropriately adopted, and there are no plans for implementation in the near future. Though managers have positive attitudes toward computer-based training and appreciate the related benefits, the future of computer-based training is uncertain because only 10% of the managers participating in this study could guarantee an amount for their computer-based training budgets in the near future. Blended learning is recommended. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
