Abstract

The author reflects on the study which examines the potential of pericyte cells in regenerative medicine and wound healing. Topics include the little impact of pericytes in wound re-epithelialisation, the need to use use immune-compromised animals which entails defective signalling and the mesenchymal stem cell properties of pericytes.
