Abstract
- Examines the characteristics of glycine aminotransferase, the enzyme for porphyrin production, which was purified as a single protein from Rhodopseudomonas palustris. Effects of amino acids on the extracellular production of porphyrin; Glycine synthesis from glyoxylic acid; Substrate specificity of the enzyme; Effects of substrate concentrations on enzyme activity.
