Abstract
- The article states that U.S. consumer electronics company Apple Inc. was negotiating with U.S. banks including J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Capital One Financial Group, and Wells Fargo & Co. as of mid-November 2015 to develop a payment service system that would permit users to transfer money from their smartphones instead of cash or checks. According to the article, such a system wold be akin to digital payments firm PayPal Holdings Inc. platform known as Venmo.
