Abstract

This article presents a biographer for French chemist Joseph Louis Proust. The author comments on his early life and upbringing in Angers and describes his early interests in pharmacology, including his education at the School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Angers. His later career as a chemistry professor is also explored.
