Abstract: The article discusses the conference related to noncommunicable diseases (NCD), which was held in September 2014. It mentions the initiatives taken by the global health industry to narrow down the gap between research work concerning communicable and non-communicable diseases. It reflects on the funding source for clinical research and public health research, and encourages exchange of health innovation between the U.S. health industry and the global health industry.
