Abstract
- The article discusses investigations of teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District in Los Angeles, California in relation to a lawsuit by fired teacher Rafe Esquith. Topics include the district's creation of a Student Safety Investigation Team (SSIT), due process rights for teachers who are being investigated, and the position of the teachers' union United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) on the issue. The lawsuit Vergara v. California is noted.
