Abstract
- The article suggests several dry bedding options for cows including the straw, sand and paper. It offers best practice guidelines for the different bedding options such as amount of the straw used each month in housed system and the advantages and disadvantages related to the bedding options. It also presents views of Jenny Gibbons, research and development manager at the British Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) Dairy.
