Abstract
- The author details his experiences in attempting to retrieve government documents related to the career of British spy Guy Burgess. Despite the fact that Great Britain enacted both the Freedom of Information Act and the Public Records Act, intelligence agencies, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and Cabinet Office, and other departments frequently deny requests under the Official Secrets Act.
