Development and validation of a simple risk score for prevalent undiagnosed type 2 diabetes in Southern Chinese population.

The article presents a study that aims to develop a simple risk score to diagnose individuals with undiagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in a Southern Chinese population. It informs that performance of the score on T2DM patients were measured using Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) c-statistic. The result showed that simple diabetes risk scores in the Guangzhou city, China can be used to identify individuals with undiagnosed T2DM.
