The article presents an interview with various personalities of International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS), Malaysia, which includes Mohammad Hashim Kamali, Mohamed Azam Mohamed Adil, and Tengku Ahmad Hazri. When asked about Islamic human rights, Kamali refers to the different Islamic laws which includes huquq Allah, huquq al-‘ibad, and the Ummah. Kamali comments on the limits of state authority and constitution. Azam and Hazri comment on democracy, consensus and freedom.
