Abstract
- The comics are product of the cultural industry and, as such, they exercise influence in several levels of the contemporary life. Being in our middle since the first years of the century XX, such graphic narratives were consolidated to the point of to develop an own cognitive universe, with concepts and exclusive categories, starting from which it is possible to establish wide dialogue with the scientific knowledge. Exploring the concepts of Erwin Panofsky's theory, the methodology iconological is applied the Superman, the first and more famous super-hero of all of the times, to identify and to analyze the iconographic evolution of its visual identity along the trajectory of their publications.
