Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 77-year-old man with an implanted Medtronic Viva Quad XT Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) device. The patient underwent an actual device interrogation which showed a Power-on-Reset (PoR) activity leading to an electrical reset of the device. An aberrant behavior of the battery life indicator on Meditronic devices can be caused by PoR.
