Neutropenia relacionada con la quimioterapia en tumores sólidos. Hospital General Universitario Camilo Cienfuegos Enero 2009-2013.

A descriptive cross-sectional study, retrospective concerning the behavior of neutropenia associated with chemotherapy in solid tumors in the period January 2009-2013 treated at the oncology department of the University General Hospital Camilo Cienfuegos province of Sancti Spiritus was performed. The population was 230 neutropenic patients associated with chemotherapy. Research generally describes the relationship between neutropenia with chemotherapy, tumor location, disease entities associated, age, sex, chemotherapy treatments and antibiotics more used. It was observed that there is a high incidence of neutropenia associated with chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer, the most affected group were 50-59 years of age predominating females with a high rate of associated hypertension.
