Abstract
- The article discusses research which investigated outcomes associated with the combined use of colistin and tigecycline or colistin and imipenem/cilastatin for the treatment of Acinetobacter baumannii (Ab)-related ventilator-acquired pneumonia (VAP). Topics explored include the intensive care unit (ICU) admission of patients involved in the study, the drug dosage and combination regimens administered to patients, and the Ab bloodstream infections noted following treatment.
